Bio

Evan Crommett is an actor, singer-songwriter, and producer born & based in Hell's Kitchen, NYC.

He studied drama at the Professional Performing Arts School from 2006-2012, and Creative Writing at Bard College 2012-2016, where he founded BRAD Comedy Club, and submitted his thesis in fiction writing, “The Empathy Project.” After graduating, he moved to Spain for a year to teach English, before returning to New York, where he currently lives. He’s acted in a number of short films, mini-series, musicals, and plays, and gigged at New York City staples like Rockwood Music Hall, and Mercury Lounge, and through SoFar Sounds. He’s released four EPs of original songs since 2015.

When it comes to music, his commitment is to cranking out bops from his bedroom-studio, sidestepping the genre-police*, and officiating the marriage of music that's profoundly sincere with music that slaps

  • playful, introspective, wordy lyricism

  • latin-style acoustic guitar genetically fated by his Ecuadorian heritage

  • certain aspects of the mostly useless words "alternative" and "indie"

  • a lifelong love of complex hip-hop production -alt r&b inspired synth textures

  • *red herring*: the fact that he requested that his fifth birthday party be soundtracked exclusively by Eiffel 65's "I'm Blue (Da Ba Dee)
